Privacy Policy

How we handle your personal data when you visit this website, sign up for our newsletter or get in touch with us.

Controller and contact person

Protecting your personal data matters to us. The controller responsible for this website, and your contact person for all questions about data protection, is:

Mag. Elisabeth SamhaberFuture Skills FoundryAntonigasse 36/121180 Vienna, Austriaelisabeth@futureskillsfoundry.com

If you want to know which of your data we process, or want to exercise one of your rights, simply write to us directly.

How we handle your data

We handle your data sparingly and confidentially. We only process personal data where it is genuinely necessary to run this website or to provide our services, and we never pass it on to third parties without authorisation. Our handling of personal data is based on the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Austrian Data Protection Act (DSG).

This website is deliberately simple. It sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. There are no embedded third-party contents such as videos, maps or social media plugins, and no advertising networks. Our fonts are served from our own server, not from external providers such as Google Fonts. The following sections explain where data is processed at all.

Hosting of this website (Vercel)

This website is hosted by Vercel. The provider is Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA. Vercel delivers the pages through a worldwide network of data centres, so data may also be processed in the USA. Vercel is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, for which the European Commission has found an adequate level of data protection.

As with every web host, technical access data is generated automatically when you open a page – for example your IP address, the date and time, the page requested and the browser used. This data is necessary to provide the website securely and reliably. We do not use it to identify you personally. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating a secure website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

For more information, please refer to Vercel’s privacy policy (opens in a new tab).

Web analytics with PostHog (without cookies)

To understand how this website is used and where we can improve it, we use the analytics tool PostHog. The provider is PostHog Inc., 2261 Market Street #4008, San Francisco, CA 94114, USA. We use PostHog’s EU Cloud; the data is processed on servers in Germany.

On this website, PostHog works without cookies: nothing is stored in your browser and no personal user profiles are created. We only use anonymous usage data, evaluated in aggregate – for example which pages are visited and how the website is used. What you enter in a form, such as your email address, is never recorded.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a privacy-friendly evaluation of how our website is used (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

For more information, please refer to PostHog’s privacy policy (opens in a new tab).

Newsletter (Brevo)

If you subscribe to our newsletter, we process your name and email address to inform you about new trainings and news from Future Skills Foundry. To manage subscriptions and send the newsletter, we use Brevo. The provider is Brevo SAS, 17 rue Salneuve, 75017 Paris, France. Brevo processes your data on our behalf and is bound by a data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR).

Subscriptions use a double opt-in procedure: after you submit the form, you receive an email asking you to confirm your subscription. Only after you confirm will you receive our newsletter. To be able to prove your consent, the time of your sign-up and of your confirmation is recorded.

The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time, for example via the unsubscribe link included in every newsletter or with a short message to us. The withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before it. After you unsubscribe, your email address is no longer used for the newsletter; we keep only what is needed to document your consent and to comply with legal obligations.

For more information, please refer to Brevo’s privacy policy (opens in a new tab).

When you contact us

If you write to us by email, we use the information you provide – such as your name, email address and your message – solely to handle your enquiry and to get back to you. Depending on your enquiry, the legal basis is taking steps prior to entering into a contract or performing a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR), or our legitimate interest in answering messages (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

We keep your correspondence for as long as needed to handle your enquiry. If it leads to an engagement, we retain the relevant records for as long as statutory retention obligations require (in particular the seven-year retention period under Austrian tax law).

Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right, subject to the legal requirements, to:

  • access the personal data we hold about you
  • have inaccurate data corrected
  • have your data erased
  • restrict processing
  • data portability
  • object to processing
  • withdraw your consent at any time, where processing is based on consent

An informal message to elisabeth@futureskillsfoundry.com is enough to exercise any of these rights.

Complaints to the data protection authority

If you believe that we are not processing your data lawfully, you can lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority at any time. In Austria, this is:

Österreichische Datenschutzbehörde (Austrian Data Protection Authority)Barichgasse 40–421030 Vienna, Austriadsb@dsb.gv.atwww.dsb.gv.at (opens in a new tab)

Data security

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss or misuse. This website is delivered exclusively over an encrypted connection (HTTPS).

Changes to this privacy policy

We update this privacy policy when our website, our services or the legal framework change. The current version published on this page always applies.
